How will your Donation Help?
Of the approximately 15,000 children and teens diagnosed with cancer each year in the U.S., 1 in 5 will not survive. Two-thirds of those that do survive suffer serious or deadly side effects from the same treatments that saved them. Five years is considered long term survival by the government and medical statistics. Pediatric cancer is on the rise, yet the federal government gives only about 4% of its cancer research dollars to pediatric cancer. Most of Emily's chemotherapy drugs were over 50 years old, and all are extremely toxic. She deserved better. All our children deserve better. By supporting Kures for Kids, 100% of your donation will be used to directly fund pediatric cancer research that matters. Help us give ALL children diagnosed with cancer a future. We have teamed with St. Baldrick's and are proud to be a registered St. Baldrick's Hero Fund. Each year, doctors and researchers request childhood cancer research grants from St. Baldrick's, usually in the amount of $100,000. In 2018, we were fortunate enough to sponsor FOUR research grants. We will keep everyone informed as to the progress of our Hero Fund, what we are supporting, and any updates provided to us by the researchers. Thank you so much for your support.
Checks payable to: "St. Baldrick's" with a memo of Kures for Kids.
