Kindergarten — the name says it all. A “children’s garden” is the ideal environment for growth.

The expansion of Kids Unlimited Academy into White City is one of our organization’s most significant outgrowths to date. Open enrollment for kindergarten at our new campus is an invitation to grow along with us.

KUA’s free public charter school is designed for working families, who benefit from our longer school days that include afterschool programs and nutritious breakfasts, lunches and dinners prepared from scratch daily in our award-winning food program.

We welcome students on the White City campus, 7455 Crater Lake Highway, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m.

Kindergarten registration 2023-24 is open now! Kindergarten school age requires student birthdates before Sept. 1, 2018.

KUA is a year-round school, with the kindergarten start date set for Aug. 7, 2023. Broadly supported by parents, year-round school helps to close the achievement gap because students retain what they’ve learned, rather than experience the traditional “summer slide.”

KUA also cultivates a small school environment — warm and welcoming — that nurtures strong, supportive relationships between staff and students. Culturally competent programming and bilingual faculty allow us to personalize instruction to students’ needs and provide additional tutoring when appropriate.

“Our students develop critical social-emotional and academic skills that prepare them well for first grade — and beyond,” said Ericka Beck-Brattin, director of academics for KUA in White City.

Highly qualified and diverse, KUA teachers and instructional assistants emphasize literacy and mathematics while delivering a wide range of enrichment opportunities in science, arts, music, dance, sports and more. Kinesthetic and tactile lessons incorporate both modern technology and real-world, hands-on problem-solving. Our experiential education unlocks the joy of learning in every child.

“If a family is looking for a small school environment that values knowing each student well and building strong relationships with families, then this is the school for you,” said Beck-Brattin.

KUA’s commitment to families includes wrap-around services for health care, child care assistance and employment and housing resources.
